AEROBIC DESIGN'S SELECTED PORTFOLIO
Randomocracy
In May 2005, BC citizens voted on a referendum that could have changed the face of politics in British Columbia. Jack MacDonald approached me to build him a website to both get the word out about this important political event and to promote a publication he wrote on the subject. The site features a clean interface and easy-on-the-eyes colours.
Stella Grooves
Stella Grooves is an already existing website that specialized in hand-made cards for all occasions. The current site lacked quite a bit of functionality for clients to place orders and easily view the products. The new website, while not a full-functioning eCommerce site (that will be done in stage 2 of the upgrade), it is easier for customers to place orders, make inquiries and get information.
Steventon Art
Kathleen and Anthony Steventon approached me on recommendation from another artist for whom I did his website. The result is a clean layout with colours chosen to "pop" the bright colours of the artwork. Were they happy? This is what they had to say. "Thanks thank thanks! We love the site and you do wonderful work, and are so easy to laise with. We will recommend you to our friends of course!!"
Study in British Columbia
StudyInBC.com is a website that provides information to international students who wish to come to British Columbia to study. In order to keep the content up-to-date, the member organizations needed a way to update information such as tuition fees, ESL programs, school profile, etc. An administration section was created that allows the institutions the ability to change and update this information at any time. As well, the administration section gives them valuable feedback as to how many hits their profile is receiving, etc. Also integrated into the website is a Student Request for Information that allows interested international students to contact the school directly. The information is stored in a database and can be retrieved at any time.
Tree of Life Inspirations
Tree of Life Inspirations sells handmade greeting cards. Their previous website was several years old and was in need of a upgrade in both design and functionality. The solution was to build a clean, attractive interface and combine that with a full-function storefront application with both retail and wholesale capabilities built in.
University of Victoria - Office of International Affairs
The University of Victoria - Office of International Affairs needed changes to their existing website. The work mostly involved changing the administration section to give staff the ability to make changes to frequently changing content on the website. The rebuilt content management system allows staff to edit, add and delete records, upload files and makes changes to their ever-changing list of links.
